Overall, the U.S. hotel industry’s occupancy rose 3.5% to 63.8%; its ADR was up 3.8% to $110.02; and its RevPAR increased 7.5% to $70.24.
Total industry revenue levels topped an estimated $162 billion, according to STR Analytics' 2013 HOST Almanac.
In year-over-year comparisons, occupancy was up 0.1% to 62.7%; ADR rose 3.7% to $109.93; and RevPAR increased 3.8% to $68.94.
The Baird/STR Hotel Stock Index reported a 0.4% increase in April to 2,784. Year-to-date 2013, the Baird/STR Hotel Stock Index is up 13.7%.
In year-over-year comparisons, occupancy rose 0.3% to 64.3%; ADR was up 1.7% to CA$132.58; and RevPAR increased 2% to CA$85.23.
